HR Director/Staff Accountant
Janice joined CourseCo in 2003 as the manager of accounting for the centralized accounting of 12 golf course properties.
She graduated from Sonoma State University with a BS in Applied Mathematics. After graduation, she started working for a local check guarantee company, starting as an accounts payable representative and within four years received progressive promotions to cost analyst, accounting supervisor, and supervisor of merchant analysis and control. Janice then moved to Waste Management to gain more experience in larger corporate accounting. She began there as a staff accountant and in a short time was progressively promoted to accounting operations supervisor for the firm’s Market Business Unit overseeing six separate companies under the corporate umbrella.
After four years in the large corporate environment, Janice hankered for a smaller firm where she could have greater impact on policy and operational methods in a collegial environment. In August 2003 Janice joined CourseCo as accounting manager, and in two years was promoted to her present position. Her rapid rise indicates her outstanding ability and CourseCo’s practice of developing talent from within the company.
