Vice President of Administration
John joined CourseCo in May of 2007 as Controller overseeing Human Resources, Finance and Accounting.
He began his career working for Hills Bros Coffee, based in San Francisco, as an Accountant, and quickly worked his way up through the organization. With the purchase of the company by Nestle and subsequent consolidations and acquisitions of other enterprises, the new entity (Nestle Beverage Company) grew to over $1 billion in gross revenue. Rapid growth led to management responsibilities in Accounting and Finance, Information Technology and Logistics and Distribution.
With Nestle moving their San Francisco operations to Southern California, John left Nestle to start a technology consulting company (The Axean Group) that specialized in distributed computing infrastructure and web application development. The Axean Group was the Contra Costa/Tri Valley Business Times 4th Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in 1998.
Before joining CourseCo, John also had experience working with an Environmental Services company as well as non-profit organizations. John is a graduate of both Hayward State University with a MA in Economics and Humboldt State University with a BS in Business Administration.
