Amy Wakayama

Amy is a seasoned Human Resources professional with more than 16 years of experience leading strategic HR initiatives and advocating for employee well-being and engagement. She is passionate about building inclusive, diverse, and high-performing workplace cultures that empower employees to reach their full potential.
Amy joined CourseCo as Vice President of Human Resources in 2025, bringing an award-winning background and a wealth of experience in human capital management, benefits strategy, talent management and organizational development.
A lifelong resident of Sonoma County, Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and holds the Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM–SCP) designation.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Amy is an active member of her community and proudly serves on several nonprofit boards. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, spending time with family, traveling, gardening, cheering on the San Francisco Giants, and playing golf.
