PLEASANTON, Calif. – CourseCo, Inc, the leading Northern Californian golf course management and development company, has been awarded the contract for management of Callippe Preserve Golf Course. The course, which is being developed by the City of Pleasanton, is expected to open this November after turf grow-in is complete. CourseCo will manage grow-in, opening, and operations of the course under a five-year management contract.
With Heinbuch Golf Construction Inc as the construction manager, the 18-hole course, designed by golf course architect Brian Costello, ASCGA of JMP Golf Design Group, is built around numerous environmentally sensitive areas. These environmental regions will encourage and support native plant and animal species. CourseCo will manage over 20 environmental plans regulating management of the environmental elements, which were identified by the City of Pleasanton, environmental organizations and regulatory agencies. The course itself utilizes 145-acres of a 280-acre site that will become accessible to hikers and equestrians in addition to golfers.
CourseCo, Inc, is the recent recipient of the Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award for Sustainable Practices, California's highest and most prestigious environmental honor. More information on Callippe Preserve Municipal Golf Course can be found on their website.
